I'm numb and hopeless

Hello people, how are you? I'm from Brazil so if my English sounds funny, that's the reason.

I'm actually sober since 2018, I'm 26 yo and I've been using since 13 - alcohol and smoking, later, cocaine - the thing is, I don't actually fit into 12 step programs and my therapist told me I NEEED a group, so here I am.

I'll search around and lurke a little, I hope this works. Thank you!

Really great people here regularcatlady. Everyone working together to get sober/clean. You couldn't have chosen a better group.

I've felt "numb and hopeless" too. It's changing for the better.

Your English is fine.

I didn’t fit into a 12 step program either. Tried it over and over and didn’t feel right. Likes the people just the aproach didn’t work for me. I did try others though and did diferente groups that I liked a lot more.

just got to do whatever works for you.
