Did you feel guilt?
I would be worried if I never felt guilt over the harm that was caused my past behavior while in active alcoholism. I had guilt big time.
I addressed the guilt by listening to my soul (AKA: conscience, higher power, authentic self, the universe, whatever, etc.). It guided me in the direction that I needed tog go in order to deal with the guilt. Following the feedback and getting into action helped to slowly absolve the guilt as progress was made and healing began.
As a result of confronting the guilt, my past no longer haunts me, but instead serves as ally to provide guidance in making healthy choices when it comes to my present behavior. When I do the right thing, I get a feeling of peace and serenity. This is my sign, to do it again and again.

My brain is only a receiver, in the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength and inspiration.- Nikola Tesla
