The simple truth is that anything else I may prioritise turns to crap if I drink - job, kids, plans, diet, exercise, mental health, self-development, money, self esteem. So by prioritising my sobriety and self worth I am also prioritising all those other things 👍
Exactly, and it was hard to see that when I was going through my drinking - but in hindsight it's so clear. That's why I say, "It gets better," not only because more sober time creates even more healing, but looking in the rear view mirror now is no longer painful.
Do right things and right things follow. Seems so simple.
