12 Years of Sobriety
12 Years of Sobriety
Wow. I am very humbled to celebrate 12 years of sobriety at midnight today; however, I am so incredibly happy to say that I also celebrate 34 months cigarette FREE. WOW.
If you are struggling. Please keep trying. If you are wondering if it gets better...it does. If you are wondering if it is worth it...it is. If you are wondering if you can do it... you can. Take it one day, one hour, one minute, one second at a time. There were literally days when I lived second to second. If you can't do it for yourself- then do it for your spouse, child, parent, friend, job, church, heath. Whatever. Just do it. Good luck everyone. Thanks for reading.

Well done, Leana.
As someone who’s approaching two years, I know that we can’t drink again if it’s 12, 20 or 50 years. The old ways will come back within weeks if we did.
So after 12 years, surely the habit and the urges should’ve gone? I still get minor urges occasionally, but I’m hoping these fade even more as time goes on.
