Two years today
Two years ago I woke up with one of the worst hangovers I have ever had. I had been on a 4 day binge and thought I was going to die from the hangover. I once again started a day one. There have been many day one's. But I struggled along, and took it one day at a time. One on one counseling and SR were a huge help. Some things changed in my personal life, and that improved. I keep a journal as well, it is a big relief to write out how I feel. I keep a sober calendar. I wish I had some great words of wisdom here. If I can say anything, to those struggling it is keep trying. Do what works for you. Don't give up! Ask for help. Accept help. And help yourself. Best wishes to everyone on SR! And thanks Dee. It is great knowing you are out there.

This is a great point on quitting. Lots of day ones and I had a lot too. I finally decided to "learn" from my prior attempts and not penalize myself for messing up again...I was hmm, how did that last one happen. That's when the magic started to happen as it were. After then it became the day-to-day effort you describe.
