New Here...in the right place?

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum. I am not sure that I am in the right place to post. I am the mother of an adult child alcoholic. My eyes have just recently been opened to the devastating effects of alcohol on my son. He has been recently admitted to the hospital with complications due to his chronic drinking, which I had no idea of. I was looking for a place to be amongst those going through the same thing. I looked quickly through the vast amounts of options to post but did not see exactly where I could fit in. Thanks to you for reading and any suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome to SR, yes you are in the right place. We also have a friends and family section. Others will be along soon to offer advice.

Welcome to the family. Take a look at the friends and family forum for more insight from those who are going thru the same thing as you are.

It's great to have you with us, luvflowers. I'm sorry for the painful time you've been going through with your son. I hope you'll find some comfort being here with those who understand.
