Day 10
It's been an up and down morning. My addictive voice told me I can maybe smoke weed in the future which pissed my wife off (she's currently in recovery from alcohol as well). I think she got jealous at the prospect of me getting a buzz in the future. I think it's time we both got sponsors to bounce this stuff off of rather than each other. We are good now though.
I don't know if trying to read your wife's mind is a good use of your own brainpower.
How 'bout just the fact that intaking a mind altering substance is a really bad idea to anyone who has any sense at all and a horrifically bad idea for an addict/alcoholic.
Congrats on Day 10.

I think the opposite would happen. I think you would be jealous that she kept her sobriety intact while you got a buzz off weed.
I do not think she would be jealous she can choose to create a hazy, shameful, guilt ridden buzz whenever she likes.
You are doing great! Keep sober 24 hours at a time. Awesome

Thank you guys/gals! I went to a Big Book meeting and got the courage to volunteer to read. After that I got the courage to speak openly and it felt great. I don't remember who suggested I try reading first but it worked like a charm!
