Todays actually a week sober.

I messed up count I think lol I quit last Sunday night going into Monday morning, so today makes an official week, maybe I lost track because of how damn tired I was. ANYWAY..

I got great sleep the passed two nights, feeling much better. I woke up today feeling thankful for many things, especially thankful for my husband who's so supportive and kind. ( is actually not drinking either) He's got 24 days.

I'm taking this one day at a time, and it seems to be working better that way. This experience is a now deal anyway.

Thanks you all for being so kind through this process. It gives me joy and satisfaction to come on and post here daily, knowing there are people who have my back in this.

I'm really starting to get my energy back, I rearranged all of my furniture this week to bring on a clean slate and a different feel of environment. Went for long drives as well, listening to music I love to listen to, as new emotions are starting to arise. This has happened to me before in sobriety so I know what to expect. If anything it makes me realize how similar to a zombie I was while drinking. It's good to feel. It's important to feel. I'm blessed to have given myself the opportunity.

Have a good day, THANK YOU!

Great job!! And I smiled at the furniture part- when I got sober getting my disaster of an apartment clean and arranged and home-y made me feel like a weight had lifted along with the vodka. Keep going!!

Congratulations to both you and your husband.
Sobriety is great, isn't it?
All the energy and a clear mind. It's wonderful and it only gets better one day at a time.
Best to you. We'll be here for you.

Congratulations on your week but also on your furniture moving. I find it incredibly boring and only do it once every 5 years but if it's keeping you busy then fair play. Regards to your partner and his sobriety too.

Good job on a week of sobriety.

Yes, I was zombie-like when I was drinking, too. It's nice to begin to feel again, though it does take some getting used to. It sounds like you're doing well.

When drinking heavily, I found the most basic tasks absolutely insurmountable. It truly is amazing to get that energy and confidence back once your mind clears.

Congrats on your sober time!
