Yes, this will pass. The early days are tough with emotions being all over the place. Best advice I have is to take good care of yourself right now. Sleep in, rest, relax, eat, take it easy, and be kind to yourself.

It will even out and get better...hang in there.

Early recovery can be a bumpy ride for a while. But if you stay sober, it gets better.

Keep on quitting. It gets easier.

Are you doing anything for your sobriety like groups or 12 Step? It helps a lot. They'll understand what you're going through.

Mindfulman: Just doing this group for now. I live in a very small town and privacy is sacred to me, so not likely to join one of those groups. That’s why I decided to join here 😊

I just got up, but I'm not really awake. I got plenty of sleep, but I don't feel like it. I made coffee, but I'm too lazy to get out of my chair and pour a cup. I can't think straight, and I don't want to do anything. It's an effort to type.

These things come and go.

OK, I went for a short two mile hike on a nearby trail with lots of ups and downs. Was back at the pickup in 45 minutes. I'm fine now.

Hi, I'm on day 5 too but feel a bit better than yesterday. Hopefully you'll feel better tomorrow. Stay strong and sober.
