90 Days
90 days today. I want to thank everyone for their advice and support. I know this site is big on AA meetings and the 12 steps but I would like to let everyone with social anxiety or people that are not into AA or 12 steps what I did. I know 90 days is not long compared to some other people on here but here is my advice. I drank 750 ml of Jager everyday. I struggled with the will I or will I not drink today and I always did. I struggled on how to buy it and drink it without anyone knowing it. I hit rock bottom and went to my doctor. The answer that saved my life was Antabuse(disulfiram). Drinking is not an option when taking this and it lets you focus more on your recovery. when taking Antabuse you can't just skip a pill and begin drinking. It takes 14 days to get out of your system which gives you 14 days to reconsider taking that drink and instead begin you Antabuse again. Antabuse doesn't have to be an alternative to AA or 12 steps it can compliment it. You do have to cut out all alcohol in your life including mouthwash, handsanitizer, perfume, cologne, and vinegar. One beer, glass of wine,or 1oz of a hard shot and you will vomit like you had food poisoning. It has been proven to help with the cravings also. I am just giving information to people. I have no ties to Antabuse at all except taking my pill everyday. I have been in military, law enforcement all my life and now I own my own landscaping business. Im not a pharmaceutical rep. I'm just happy of my 90 days and want to share how I got here. Thanks again to all.
Hello and congratulations on ninety days.
I'm glad you found Antabuse and that it's working for you.
Whatever it takes, right? And if it works, I say use it.
You can also use this place. There's lots of folks here who understand.
Best to you in sobriety.
