Hello and welcome. I'm also an alcoholic.
You've found a great spot on the web and I'm glad you're here.
Congratulations on your sober time.
So, read and post away with whatever's on your mind.
Best to you in sobriety.

Thanks for the welcome it's appreciated. I'm at the point in my recovery that I'm looking for more, I've had a difficult time with the God thing in AA. And have been having to look at the psychology behind it to make it work for me. My home group has been effectively driving me out with the sermons on individual beliefs. Lately i've been going to an NA group but there's a few things I struggle with there. The biggest is the hugging at the end of the meeting I'm a survivor of a 19 year abusive marriage. My sobriety is strong and I feel so much serenity in life the difficulty in going to AA stans out, it's funny you go for a solution and its become a problem. I have made freinds in AA some have gone back out and that hurts but I have one with two and one half years and one with fifteen years of sobriety. I also participate in Alonon and have found great strength there. So this is me, maybe I fit maybe not, my goal is a sober happy life for myself and those I come in contact with.
