I think we have all been there to one degree or another. I know I sure have.
There's this idea what if we sit around being angry/worried/fearful/anxious about events, then they will somehow get better. They don't. The world will not stop and change no matter how much you sit in front of the tv/computer, grit your teeth, furrow your brow and think about how wrong it all is.
I began to break this cycle by asking myself if the world was truly better off with me sitting around and fretting over it. Pardon the pun but the sobering answer was NO. In fact, I realized no one would even know who I was, nor care.
So the question remains: what can you really do to make the world a better place? Ask it of yourself- not as a demand on the world, but one where you feel agency within yourself. You're sitting on a goldmine and that is you and your talents and abilities, no matter how modest or trivial you think they might be.
