Day 47 - My 1,2,3 and 4 changes.

Hey there everyone.

Quite upset because I thought I had more time sober, but I made the calculation (which I did not want to do) and it's actually 47 days.

However, as I struggled today like every Friday, I want to focus on the positive stuff this week.

1. I have been feeling miserable for years now. Longer than I can remember. The reason is alcohol, period. Every day in the morning in my way to work, I would have this anxiety, sadness, and depression. However, in the previous weeks I started feeling better. Today in my to work, I was feeling pretty good. And it felt just normal. I thought like "huh, I've been feeling good for some weeks now, and it feels like my normal mood".

2. I have been able to talk to people differently. People are taking a genuine interest in me. (funny enough, people at work know me as the dude that does not drink, lol)

3. Physically, I'm feeling much better. I'm looking much better.

4. I started exercising and a diet. Both suck because I hate sweating and I love pizza, but it provides a huge source of satisfaction.

This is, in a nutshell, the good things. However, I'm writing this really fast, this list is way more extensive.

Have a great weekend guys.

Good stuff. Keep going and the days turn into "fun" numbers and round numbers and most importantly, higher numbers

don't get hung up on the number

You're changing your life - for the better - that's a massive thing and incredibly commendable.

in ten thousand days time you'll have 10, 047 days
Forget about the counter if you can and live each day to the full - just let 'em rack up.

Dee’s right. Don’t count days.

Just live everyday, one day at a time, the best you can.

Brilliant. I’m Day 52 and like you I’m feeling better in myself. I think the changes can be quite subtle and then become the norm so you don’t really notice just how much better you actually do feel. Anyway keep up the good work.

Feeling good, feels good. Continue with the exercise and diet and pizza every now and them doesn’t hurt. Not many problems a pizza doesn’t solve for me. Being sober and getting respect at work is a big reward. Congratulations 🎊

36 days and I seeing massive changes with my life style. Waking up early, which gives me time to meditate, journal, prepare task list for work, breakfast and gym.

I am awake and fresh at work. I don't have to drag myself anymore.

I am sure there will be many more positives and good things added to the list as time goes by.

some people find great benefit & motivation in day counting, others can tend to beat themselves up with the process.

Whatever works in a positive way to stay sober no matter what

Hows it going Hope
