Day 2 second AA meeting
A few cravings today why I don’t know. Went to my second AA meeting this week.
Going to AA is tough puts me out of my comfort zone. It’s interesting to hear people’s stories.
If an alcoholic takes a drink he cannot predict the outcome he could start off at home and end up
a month later in the Sahara
im doing my best it’s not easy. Apparently it gets easier.

its not easy,HC. simple? yes. but not easy.
it will be worth every second of fight- guaranteed. every single promise of the program( theres more than just the 9th step promises read at meetings) will occur for you IF you work for them.

John, I was EXTREMELY out of my comfort zone the first few AA meetings I went to. I love them now. Love them. I always walk out feeling better than when I walked in. Good work and congrats on staying the course, posting and hitting your second meeting.

It gets easier.
I was very nervous about going to my first meeting.
6 months later I was comfortable enough to volunteer to chair meetings. I found that, in itself, amazing.

I was uncomfortable in every way when I got to AA - in fact, the Serenity Prayer p*ssed me off! How alcoholic is THAT?!
I kept going back to a chair in the room and yep, it got easier, it became more understandable, I started to see myself more clearly...the whole deal that AA suggests is possible. One thing that someone said early that has stuck w me: look for the people who have what you want. I wanted to be able to laugh fully and freely, to become comfortable in my skin, to be good to others, to....
Keep going - it's great and super early - glad you are here.
