I do encourage you to come up with a plan that will work when you're feeling vulnerable. I suspect it will happen, as it does for most of us, but if you're prepared with how to react, you will be able to get through it.
I know and you are very right. I am just not sure what route I want to take. I do so much research so it is by no means ignorance as to what my options are, I just don't know where I want to go.

I saw one of those 'uplifting quotes' that normally make me cringe, on fakebook this morning, but this one made think "yep...that's true."

"you can go to the gym, drink your water and take your vitamins, but if you don't deal with the $hlt going on in your heart and your head, you're still going to be unhealty."

not making a decision is a decision in itself- a decision to do nothing.

I am not "deciding" to do nothing, I just haven't decided yet what I am going to do once i reenter the world. For the time being, I am in semi hermit mode so there is zero temptation and I am doing a ton of reading on alcoholism and recovery in general.

I also wound up in the hospital, that was in 2015. I never want to be in that place again as I am sure you don't either.

You do need to find a plan as everyone keeps telling you. If you don't you will most likely not have the tools in place to counter the urges when they do reappear. Your plan does not need to be the same as anyone else's it just needs to be the one that will work for you.

I am glad you had support around you to help.

Congrats on 2 weeks babycat :

Alice - what Scott said is right - the more years I drank the worse my withdrawals got.

Congrats on 2 weeks.
My last withdrawl is huge to my sobriety. I cannot get through that again. Words cannot describe the sleep deprivation, the racing heart and blood pressure. ANXIETY through the roof. Shaking, wretching, vomiting straight bile.
I think its iimportant to remember. I am one drink away from that.
No thank you.
Keep it up!!
Jules
