Hi how did you get on at the Doctors?
I have found in the UK it is very difficult to get rehab, or even medication to help you detox especially if you live alone like I do.
The go to recommendation is to taper which is virtually impossible if you are drinking alcoholically. That said you may be offered medication that can help with cravings and referred to a Drug and Alcohol centre, some better than others around the country.
