Thinking of Quitting again and FOMO
I used to be crippled by fear too Al...fear about everything. i'm still not fear free (who is?) but I'm the best I've ever been - stopping drinking helped me get better with that.
My sober life took a lot of hard work, but then so did my drinking life.
Life sober is not perfect either and I hope I've never implied it is ....but it beats the bejabbers out of my drinking life

Life's a damned barrel of monkeys for me since I stopped drinking. Even the tough times.
It's not just clearer, or more fulfilling. It's also just more FUN! The good times when drinking weren't really experienced properly. How good a time did you have when you can't even remember much or all of it?
That riotous drunken laughter is rather hollow and not REAL. The booze was laughing, shouting and getting into trouble, NOT me.
As Dee says, it's not perfect. Life by definition is messy and weird, or it wouldn't be living.
