I have been sober just under 3.5 years and things are starting to look much better for me. I can't change the crappy things I have done but I can keep moving forward.

I finished some school that I failed to finish when I started drinking heavily 15 years ago.

I now have now have certifications that allow me to have a job for the rest of my healthy life if I want.

My relationship with my spouse is way better.

My ability to remember is coming back in a major way. Being able to remember things longer than a couple of days is new to me. I actually retain information for future use.

The benefits of sobriety for me seem to add up like 1 + 1 =3. The more sober time I get the more I see that sober time is synergistic.
