I haven’t been on here in a while..work has been busy, along with training for obstacle races. Tomorrow marks 6 months of sobriety for me!! This is the longest I have been sober since turning 21 over 9 years ago.
Since my sobriety, I have transformed into something more worthy than I have ever been. I ran my first half marathon, and placed 48th out of 375 runners. I have gotten a 3.8 GPA in college, while working a full time job. I have been the son, uncle, and friend that many missed.
I’m developing a relationship with a beautiful girl both inside and out.
Good things come when you’re sober, and it’s important for anyone struggling to understand that. There is a life without alcohol, and it can be amazing if you embrace the change.
Keep strong, and know that YOU CAN take control of your life. You just need the will, courage, and determination to do it.
Take care all!
