Day 1

I don't feel so good today but have decided this is the day everything changes. Alcohollism is a really unpleasant thing to live with and I have lived with it for too long.
Now I want change.

I like your name, Highercall.

I think we all get a higher call from something and when we don't follow it, we suffer.

When I didn't follow mine, life became more and more painful as long as I kept ignoring it. Finally I threw in the towel, stopped fighting and was ready to follow that call that kept telling me that drinking was no way to live.

Since I didn't know how to change myself, I got help from people who could help me. It all starts with a decision and some willingness to reach out.

keep in mind ...

its the 1st drink that gets us drunk not the 20th

we cant get drunk without that 1st drink

our choice is between miserable unhappy drunken drinking and all the consequences

or

not taking 1 drink

God bless

Good. Now put something in place, a recovery plan, to support that decision to quit.

And follow it.
