here is a question for you, based on your thread title:

how do you see the difference between an alcoholic and someone with just poor willpower?

you must see a difference there, or your question makes no sense.

no need to answer publicly, of course, or even privately to yourself, but tossing it around some might prove helpful in figuring out where you're at and how to proceed.

I told myself for years I just had a willpower issue. It allowed me to make excuses for my heavy drinking, and avoid confronting my real problem, alcoholism. I also have 3 kids, and successfully quit drinking during pregnancy. I still battle the "willpower" issue, and have to remind myself that is just my AV lying to me. Good luck. Hope you can get ahead of it.
