I have not personally but I have heard that many times. The skin is our largest organ so it makes sense that it would be part of the elimination of toxins in our body. If you can handle some exercise that can cause a sweat that might help. Or epson salt baths maybe?

You bet! Horrible itchiness, especially the first time I tried to quit. To me, it felt as if the itch was coming from the inside of my skin and not the outside. It was worse at night and it seemed nothing worked. I had my itchies mostly on my arms. Ultimately what did work for me was to use a product called 'aquaphor' which is primarily vaseline. I also didn't cover my arms. Benadryl helped too. Good luck! It's horrible. I sympathize!

Yes!!

I was just mentioning this is the itchiest I've ever felt during detox. Not sure if it's because summer has arrived but it's pretty annoying!

Oh yes. I had to carry a stiff bristled hairbrush to get to my back and scratch.

Yes - itchies, achies, skin crawling & other stuff. It all settled down. Congrats on your Day 9 - it is a very big deal.

The itchiness is likely your liver working to detox. Hang in there. It gets better. You can do this.

The reason I found this site was googling "itchy and alcohol withdrawal". Mine was awful. the first time around. As soon as I got an itch I'd scratch it only to make it worse! I bought tons of anti itch creams (benedryl cream worked best) and would put it on as soon as it started and wait for it to kick in.

Like Rar mentioned -its from the inside out. I'd even break out in bumps once I started to scratch. Lasted almost 2+ weeks.

Hope you feel better.
