Question about craving

The phenomenon of craving as described in the big book of AA: is this the same with other drugs? The same physical allergy? Or does this only apply to alcohol?

I can't speak to AA but can speak to cravings and that the best thing I've found is urge surfing, which I learned about here on SR.

How you tried?

When I take drugs, I crave more. Same with alcohol.

I’ve never heard of urge surfing? Can you expand on?
