Second time to try this

The second time I am making a serious effort to stay sober. Going to the meetings, doing the reading.

I am just on the first Step and it is a bit like stepping off a cliff.

welcome wrong way.
hows about a change your opinion of how it feels. instead of feeling like jumping off a cliff where either serious injury or death is a probability, hows about lookin at it like climbing out of a hole into the sunlight?

Or how about getting out of a dirty, unmade bed and opening up the shades to a gorgeous spring day.

I found sobriety to be refreshing and positive. It's not a punishment but a reward.
