5 Weeks - With A Wobble
Hi all.
Eventually the wobble will become all the more insignificant.
The app says 1 month and 7 days so just checking in for a quick update.
The weight is falling but Im watching my food too. The sugar urge has drifted away which is good news.
Ever mindful and knowlegable of it being early days - all is well and SR has been both informative and supportive.
Onwards!
Regards

Congrats on 5 weeks Dave. You're fortunate in that the weight is beginning to drop. I've increased a few pounds.
Love: The app I use is on my iPhone. It's a sobriety clock by Nomo. It's cool in that it gives me badges. . I believe there are sobriety clocks online too.

I dont play by the same rules as some others Carl. My rules say that total sober time minus non sober time = net sober time. As long as that falls within my strict guideline of " never again" 😲😲😲

Ohhhkay, Dave. That's a way of playing a game with drinking and the power of alcohol in our lives, IMO. You're posting a lot of threads about knowing you can do it, and not taking it lightly, and such....then you share, albeit in only your title and one sentence ("Eventually the wobble will become all the more insignificant.") about a relapse.
Respectfully, "trying to do it my way" (or as you said by your own rules not others) kept me drinking for a very long time. Turns out, I can't outsmart, out-strategize, out maneuver, control....my drinking. Period.
I will duck out of your threads because I don't know how useful my contributions are, but I wish you luck if you truly commit to sobriety and a life in recovery.

Hi August - only duck out if you want to.
My words and methods are my way of expressing thoughts and dealing with my previous problem.
See "previous" - I come here sober tonight and with an approx 95 per cent non drinking record since the start of this journey.
I expect that percentage to improve further.
I only offer my thoughts and honesty - with a doubtful use of correct language to relate this.
I read - I interpret and if I feel like and am able to - I respond.
Love the site - the people are of mixed opinions - all is good August.
And - for a bit of random - August - wherever I see it out of context - i.e not on a calendar - reminds me of a hidden gem of a tune - August Day by Hall and Oates.
Have a great journey along Sobriety Road August.
Regards
