Coming up on 7 months check in....
Hi everyone, hope you guys/gals are enjoying this Monday.
I posted here in the last few months of 2017 and haven't been back for awhile. 4/9 will be 7 months sober for me. I got a third dwi 9/9/2017 and haven't drank since. What I have done is a bunch of AA, gone to jail for 30 days and finished my follow up evaluation with an ladc. I managed to keep my girlfriend, job, and house and so far things are looking up. I obviously won't be driving for awhile (1/22/21), bit other than that things are going well. My state doesn't force people to go to AA as aftercare for dwis. I enjoyed it but as an athiest it really didn't do much for me. People kept saying if your not turning everything over to God it will not work. Or "fake it till you make it". I'm not really one to fake it so I'd rather just post here and read others stories and try to support people that way. My sobriety is super important to me and it's a little more convenient to just get on here a few times a week than try walking to meetings or getting a ride. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
