Depression
Hey SR, I'm sorry I was having a bad day yesterday.
I've battled with depression for years and yesterday was one of those overwhelming "life is irretrievably awful" days. I know what to do, but sometimes just getting my arse out of bed is too much. I'm glad I didn't drink because waking up afterwards just adds to the misery and despondency that will be my ultimate undoing.
Thank you all for your supportive posts.

Thank you for the update Trohyn - gkad you are feeling better! I like what another person in recovery once said in a meeting I attended: Life has always been a rollercoaster, except when drinking, the lows go deep into the mud and the highs end up smashing into a concrete ceiling. Sober life is still a rollercoaster but the goal is a steady cruise.
Stay steady Tro!

Yay. I'm glad to hear you didn't drink.
We all have days like that. The good news is that the longer you are away from alcohol the fewer those days become. Truly.
I had to work at not ruminating. I had to work at getting good food and exercise. I had to work at staying away from negativity.
You'll figure it out!
