For those
of you that have “slipped”- it’s gonna be aliright.
Last week I drank some beer
I stopped before the real binge began and haven’t drank since
It’s a minor thing for me and I’m back on the Sobriety Train, so to speak.
I tested myself and I failed
But I’m still fighting
And if anything, it’s made me fight harder

I'm sorry you drank Rodney - and I apologise in advance because I'm going to put you on the spot..
Just curious - what made you test yourself?
Do you think you can you avoid more testing now?
You can treat those as rhetorical questions if you like, but I hope you give it some thought.
I'm all for moving forward, but drinking again isn't really a minor thing.
My addicted self wants me to think it is because my addiction wants a second strike.
For me the bottom line is if I drink again, my plan is not good enough.
I think when we drink again, we need to look at what happened and why and then give some serious thought to what we've been doing for our recovery, and then on what we might add to it in future.

Slip? You mean you planned to drink and you did, no "slipping" involved. It was no accident, there was fore-planning and execution.
My addiction would be telling me, "See! You can have drinks without a binge. It isn't so bad! I just start again!...I've got this!"
Oh, yeah, that's what yours is saying too. That's dangerous thinking.
There are not unlimited chances to get sober. "It's a minor thing"? Really?
I think every time I went back it made it much more psychologically difficult and physically more dangerous:
Kindling - NIH
