One of those darn days!

Feeling low today, ocd kicking my backside big time! The so called "crazy thoughts" are hounding me like a rottweiler on a ham bone!

My therapist says he can see a good difference in me, I certainly don't feel it, not today anyway!

Ahhh siiiiigh just moaning that's all, tomorrow is a new day folks!

Hope y'all are well!

Honesty is the trait of a good therapist.

Trust his judgment.

You sound so much better to me lately, Chilled. I, too, am being honest.

Hi Chilledice, having one of those days too. The biggest thing ive realized is that they do pass... but I was used to just drinking and smoking to make them pass quicker (or so I thought lol) ... they pass anyways!
Happy Friday

Thanks Leigh I appreciate that, I just get those days and sometimes weeks where I can't see what others see.

Chilled, I also think your therapist is being honest when he says he sees improvement. I know it's hard to stop the thoughts when they circle, but you're doing this!

He assures me I'm not crazy and that this is severe ocd mixed with other anxiety disorders.

There are good days and bad days, but just make sure they're all sober days!

You've seemed more 'level' to me as well lately. We all have bad days, especially with ocd/anxiety added to the mix.

Nothing wrong with that! Letting it out sure the hell beats holding it in and 'fighting it' by yourself.

Glad to hear you're feeling better😀 I know how you feel. I had a stinking resentment that I couldn't shake when I was walking somewhere this morning. Just got to move through it sober. Take it easy✌️.

Some days are just an emotional mess no matter what. I'm glad to hear your commitment to sobriety no matter the circumstances. That commitment is still important to me today. I'm not giving anything or anyone permission for me to drink. One is too many and I hate day 1 with a passion! Stay strong!

I understand that - as we start getting better we are at least able to recognise those insane thoughts when they pop up. When I was still drinking I believed every thought in my head - if I thought it, it must be so. My thinking was my reality. Woahhh!! That now seems so, so worrying to me. I could rationalise pretty much anything to myself if I wanted it to be so. Nowadays I can spot those crazy thoughts, and on the occassions when I'm uncertain about something (i.e. not sure if I'm baing reasonable or just kidding myself) I run it past my sponsor. Mostly nowadays her responses start with "No, it's not you. You're being completely reasonable..." or similar. Not always though lol .

Anyway - hope you feel a little better today Chilled.

BB x
