Dangit!!!!!!
Done,
Sorry to hear it. The good news is that you and I can do this. It might take a fall or (in my case) a hundred falls, but as long as we keep going, we'll get there eventually. Please don't be angry with yourself. Have some compassion for yourself. You know that the prize is out there - a sober life free from the confines of addiction. Let's go get it!

Social surroundings. Actually, only one thing brought me undone. Me. Don't recall what I was thinking at the time when I had my first. Just somehow said "I can handle this and be normal". Well I can't. 3 days. What a waste.
I blundered about for a long time trying to stay sober in a drinkers life, with no real plan & a fear of change .
I had to change my social life for a while.
Too many drinkers and too many drinking opportunities in my old life.
d'ya reckon you're willing to do that now Done?

Yeah, I don't have an issue with changing my social surroundings and avoiding hanging out with people who are drinking. I made the mistake of thinking I was stronger this weekend and fell. So frustrating. I have been in social settings and had no problem saying no before. Ugh. So annoyed.
Drinking has to come off the table as an option. Non-negotiable. Any thoughts of drinking is the insanity of alcoholism. You can't reason with it.
