Wedding rehearsal dinner/ reception...

I know it is wise to avoid this stuff. Just wanted to share that I attended my gfs brothers wedding rehearsal dinner Friday night and the wedding and reception yesterday evening. Dinner was fine, just had iced tea. And the reception was a little strange as the was just barrels of beer and booze everywhere. I did the cheers with the champagne and just put it back down. It's still early on for me I n the process but I feel pretty good about powering through an early test without any hiccups. Hope everyone is having a great weekend

Rami,

As my sober time ticked up I began to thing I could drink like a non to normal drinker.

I did a couple of times, but could feel the door opening to drinking...even after I dealt w crippling and horrific anxiety for many months.

The addiction is forever and it waits patiently.

I got handed a shot of crown royal yesterday from the performer at a comedy show. I was there by myself and usually they have great seats for folks on their own. They know they might be lonely or something...

So the guy, makes a special effort to give me a nice shot...I take it from him and said thanks. I tried to give it to the girl to my left...she doesn't drink....the guy on my right...no thanks....

Someone a row back yells....I'll take it. Yay....

I was tempted. Nobody would have known....except me.

To thine self be true.

Thanks.

I'm glad it went ok, ramius. I felt stronger each time I made it through a tempting time.
