Just joined this minutes ago guys, never tried anything like this before, looking forward to hearing from you, well if just hit the 24 weeks sober mark, feeling pretty good most of the time, hasn't been plain sailing though, main thing is I didn't pick up a drink, the stuff nearly killed me, my boy is 19 months and my family were worried sick so I made the change in my life and im glad I did, still miss it some days though after all the **** it caused me, that's the desease though, did 30 days treatment and have aftercare 1 night a week for 2 years to help, hoping this will help me along also, I'll take everything I can to help at this early stage of recovery, thanks for reading, hope I made some sort of sense, computers aren't my thing ha

One night a week aftercare isn't much - I see that Cork is served well for AA meetings. Do you make use of those at all?

Yes berrybeaen 3-4 meetings a week as well, relapse prevention and men's group too,

That's good. So you've got a good support network there.

The other thing that I find has helped me when I've been unable to get to a meeting are the speaker recordings. They can be a good top up when I feel myself getting drawn back into the vortex if noone is around for a chat. I use the www.recoveryaudio.org website, which is free and you don't need to register to use. There's thousands of speaker recordings on there.
