Did rehab, got out and hibernated for a few weeks. Got meds stabilized and started daily meetings. Now in an IOP program, both for addiction as well as the underlying bipolar disorder, 2 hours of group a day, once a week individual sessions, and psychiatric consults for a half hour every two weeks. It's not 12 step but rather CBT based, but 12 step and/or Smart Recovery are encouraged. I had my first individual therapy session today and it went well. At this point my sobriety is very strong, but I realize that recovery is a lifelong process and will return to AA and/or try Smart Recovery soon.

I'm now trying to put my life back together from the mess I made of it. Career change and job hunting, yoga and exercise, and a meditation practice are at the top of my list.

Thanks all for being here, though I've mostly been lurking, I've found reading stories and advice extremely helpful.
