Day 1

Hopefully the last day 1 I ever promise myself. Woke up feeling like garbage for the last time, poured all the alcohol out in the house and I'm enjoying some water while reading these posts. I'll be lurking here for quite some time I think

Thunder: I discovered SR yesterday & I spent @ least 3+ hours reading. So many GREAT people & plenty of help. I'm on day 2 & I detoxed myself as it was a mild withdraw (still should have gone to the doctor/ER or Detox facility) At our juncture it's one hour @ a time. Be well & stay tough. I'm going to be a part of these forums for years to come (hopefully)

Hey Thunder..
I checked into SR last year. It became my go to place for help with my recovery. I have not been to AA or anything.

Check out the August Class of 2017.. It's for Newcomers and very helpful !

Welcome Thunderskies Stay strong, you know you can do this!! I'm also new here and on my first week of staying sober. I thought I'm a lost case as I've never lasted more than two days without a drink but I proved myself wrong and I'm feeling better and better each day This place helps a lot as well! Good luck.
