Where should I start? I'm Dave and I'm an alcoholic. I'd been drinking heavily for the last 7 years. Never was a daily drinker but definitely put the beers away when I would. I thought my drinking was normal till life started unraveling. Slowly, it turned on it's side. I Ended up with with a DUI in march. On 7/5; I blew positive on a random PBT while on probation. I put myself in a high risk place and justified having "a" beer. Well one is never enough for me, as many of you know.

Decided that was enough. I'm tired of letting it ruin my life. Been going to meetings, talking with my sponsor, talking with my therapist, and been trying to do stepwork. Tonight, I felt like joining an online forum could be an extra support system.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!! Another blessed day is in the books. Ended up spending most of my paycheck on bills aka lawyer fees but I didn't pick up. Grateful for what I have in my life right now!!! 👍
