Good morning and TGIF to everyone.\
I just joined this forum; I've been a heavy wine drinker for at least 18 years.
I've been trying to quit for 8 years. Sometimes not trying.
So, Here I am where I just hope to find and offer support, since I have learned a lot in my journey. And I hope by posting here, I will distract myself when the witching hour approaches

SR is the best place you never wanted to be! It is filled with wisdom, knowledge, and support, the likes of which I have never seen before on an internet message board.
There are lots of really informative threads and stickies, I hope you read around and continue to post.

Welcome, fellow former wine 'gulper' myself. At first it seemed overwhelming to think I couldn't drink, but then day by day when I finally decided I was sick of the sickness, it became easier to overcome...only a few months sober so far.
I have likely consumed cases upon cases of Lacroix sparkling water in its absence. It's freeing the first weekend you are completely sober and how your body feels somewhat hydrated without the poison.

It's great meeting you, FloraBee. There's no doubt you can do this. I drank 30 yrs. & the encouragement I found here helped me reclaim my life. I would post when I was miserable, anxious, doubtful, etc. SR saw me through some dark days. Welcome!
