Looking Back
... I was just looking back on my recent past today.
If I would have stopped drinking the first time I went to the ******* emergency room for alcohol withdrawal symptoms, I would have saved myself so much pain, remorse, self-hatred, and just plain hell.
That was December 2013. About 50 hospitalizations, countless trips to detox, two trips to the psych ward, and infinity promises later... today marks 18 days sober.
If you're thinking about quitting and how it would positively impact your life. You're right. It's worth it.
You know where I haven't been in the past two weeks? The hospital

Thanks for your post.
I could have saved years of a nightmarish 'life' too by stopping.
No sense for me to look too much, except to remember what my drinking days were like so I never want to go through them again.
Just remember, we never have to drink again.
