I'm pretty new to this as well, but someone here recently told me what their sponsor told them which was "don't give in 5 minutes before the miracle happens", and that is something that I've had to live by. One day at a time, sometimes one minute at a time. I can say that I do believe that every time you avoid the temptation and get through it, you will grow stronger. Hang in there. Congrats on 11 days!
Hang in there! Relax every muscle in your body. concentrate only on your breath. breathe with your stomach. It gets so much better. Just a little uncomfortable at first but this will pass. You can do this!
I don't want to mess this up.
then don't. you DO have a choice. you always did, the addiction did that whole smoke and mirrors thing and told you that you no longer HAD a choice, you HAD to use.
it is not wrong to think about drinking......alcoholics think about drinking, it's sort of what they do! but you know have the power to choose to NOT drink.
this is still, to me, one of the best views and guide to what recovery looks like....how often the addict voice comes back around, right when you think you've "got this".

Hope you are feeling better right now. It is an up and down battle, but in the end it is going to be worth it. Let's be those people that look back after a few years and remember the day we chose sobriety and how much it changed our lives for the better. You've got this! My anxiety has been crippling and the more I drank, the worse it seemed to get. I would drink to get rid of the anxiety, but the end up more anxious and then drink some more. It's a vicious cycle. 11 days is amazing!!! rooting for you!

You are not alone! I know how you feel! I'm on day 23. It's getting better but I still have my moments. I know I'll die if I drink again. I have an enlarged liver. I have too much to live for and so do you!!! Keep up the great work!!!
