One of those weeks...
That can't end soon enough. I'm forgetting things, having trouble concentrating, and seemingly just having bad luck. PAWS, perhaps? I'm a high school teacher, and stress levels are at an all time high as major tests are around the corner. Kids are stressed. Teachers are stressed. Parents are on edge, too. It's hard not to drink. But I know that no problem will be made better with alcohol.
I'm just getting through the day,, and if I'm sober at the end of it, it's been a good one. Trying to get to bed early now and wake up fresh tomorrow.
Thanks for letting me post. It's been a while.

I used to teach (Nursing) and I know stress of others added to marking stress. Only thing is to take it in digestible chunks. Mark a few papers- have a coffee. Mark a few more- do some other work- planning for next years schedule- a bucket list- whatever. Not a marathon event. If has to be a marathon event- same- some breaks to refocus. Also rest, hydrate- eat. Breathing helps. Booze does not. Support to you.
Big U2 fan here as well. Just keep at it. I felt like my addiction tried hard early on, throwing curve balls and making me feel lousy to get me back but I just kept going and things got better over time. If you go to bed sober, you did good for the day.
