On April 6th our Dee will have 10 yrs sober!
I literally wouldn't be where I am without you, Dee. You are one of a kind and we're blessed to have you to turn to every day. Congratulations on your massive achievement of 10 years!!! It's astounding.
I'm humbled guys - thanks so much for the kind words...and thanks to a few names I haven't seen in a while - it's great to see you again.
Its surreal to think 10 years. 10 years was a ridiculous hope for me once.
I can easily transport myself back to the old flat - looking out the window with bleary eyes, in pain and fear and wondering if anything would, or could, ever change.
Of course change is always possible - and it keeps on happening, lol.
I thought I'd reached the end of my changes a few years ago and that was fine - life was good... but the last 2 years and this year particularly have been a great year of change for me.
I've got a music career back that is more productive and more enjoyable than it ever was. It means sometimes being around slippery places and people but I know now for a fact I can go anywhere and do anything, and I will stay true to what I believe is the right way of living for me.
I still enjoy being a member here and helping where I can. I always aim to be better Mod this year than last year and I hope I hit that mark more often than not.
My relationships in general are truer deeper and more wonderful than they've ever been.
My life is awesome, I'm both happy and peaceful and I'm thrilled to wake up each morning and finding out whats in store
I was once that guy at the window.
If I can do this anyone can

I love you dearly Dee!
Thank you, thank you for all the support you give to SR members, including me.
I know I don't post as much as I used to, but there are times when if I am feeling a bit wobbly, I come here.
Seeing your name and your replies make me feel so much better.
I hope that you will always be here.
I truly cannot imagine SR without you Dee.
Happy ten years to you xx

Ten years! That is seriously wonderful, Dee.
Thank you for being such a steady presence in the lives of countless people. Personally, I think my ability to live in recovery has a lot to do with the example you set and the message you champion.
You are a blessing.
