Good To Be Back

Great to see the Class of Feb 2016 going strong. I bowed out quietly after 4 months of sobriety. Light drinking led to you know where this is going. Missed an engagement last Friday i promised my wife I would attend because of one too many beers after a short workday. I am addicted to alcohol and it can only be controlled by abstinence. 4 days sober. Class of March 2017 next stop.....

It's amazing what we do isn't it? We convince ourselves we beat it. We convince ourselves we're normal now. Unfortunately, at least for me, I'm not and never will be.

Congrats on 4 days. Keep it up!

Welcome back Jimmyjam! I think joining the class of March 2017 is a good idea.

I was a member of a few classes, but finally made sobriety stick as a member of the January 2016 class.

You can definitely do this.

I have to admit that once I decided on no more ever again things got a lot easier than trying to moderate my drinking.

That was like trying to herd smoke.
