The physical symptoms are pretty much gone and I'm feeling better in general. As always I'm working to undo bad habits and change my routine in general. I'm at work today and notice the difference because I'm not hung over. I used to think I wasn't hungover but the truth is that I was just used to it.

That's where I was. I thought I didn't get hangovers....turns out I was just used to feeling terrible every morning and thought that was "normal."

There is a joke I read recently it goes: "We didn't know he was a drinker till he showed up for work sober"

It's funny how true that is. It is a total trip when you have that realization.

Yeah, last time I quit I only made it 10 days but I could tell that I was definitely in denial about hangovers. I didn't think I got them either.

It's different when you look back with a little clarity, isn't it! I used to think that if I didn't drink for a day, it was a sober day. But, no, it never was and I didn't realize that until I stopped drinking.
