Just try to remember, if you don't drink you'll eventually feel great. If you drink, you'll feel like this again at some point. Good job.

Day four is started and I feel a bit better today. My dr changed my anti depressant meds and I think that messed me up quite a bit.
Damn quitting is the easy part, Staying quit is a whole different ball game.
I am thinking of finding a couple of AA meetings that I can go to and get some support. I have tried AA before and never felt I fit in. I think it is worth another try.

Thank you all for the support on here.

I agree with you 100%, staying quit is the hard part. But now that you've figured that out, it gives you the advantage. One foot in front of the other....day after day.

Go for it. Maybe you just weren't ready before. Just try to listen out for the similarities and not the differences, and try to keep your expectations realistic about feeling comfortable in a meeting straight away. We may well feel a bit out of things at first, but as we keep going and get to know people better then gradually we start to feel more part of things. It took me a while to get used to this, as I was used to having the alcohol fix that made me feel instantly wittiest, prettier and titter (even if that wasn't a great reflection of the reality of the situation ).

Good luck at your meetings. BB

Great job, asixstringnut. You're doing it. Keep it up. As far as AA goes, I went to at least 10 different meetings before I found the right fit for me. Good luck.

Day five is underway and my head is starting to clear out a bit.
I am glad to have these days behind me and looking to keep this up.

Hey hang in there. You can do this. I have had so many failures but I refuse to stop trying to quit for good.

Dee.
I plan on catching a couple of meetings this weekend and getting some much needed exercise. Staying sober one minute at a time.

Thanks for the support.
