I spoke with my sisters today for the first time in 6 months.
I had been feeling such heartbreak over our broken relationship, but after today I no longer feel that way.
My older sister was wonderful earlier in the day, but now I can hear the whiskey she has been drinking in her change of tone.
My younger sister is too busy with her own selfish concerns to really care what I am doing.
Neither of them offered to help me in any way, or are going out of their way to see me before I go. None of my nephews even care enough to call and congratulate me. Who are these people?
My parents would be devastated to see how two of their three daughters are living their lives now that they are gone.
I know they would be proud of me though, and just so incredibly happy for me.
My true family is here, and with Nick.
I am more aware than ever that I am incredibly blessed. ♥
