Today is a day of affirmation for those in love relationships; an often challenging day for those whose love relationships are in turmoil, but feel that they should be celebrating heartily rather than woodenly; and a sometimes discouraging day for those who are single and don't get a box of candy to remind then that they are lovable...

I'm single this year on this day. I'm doing the work of reminding myself through the day that love has many-many forms, and that I am blessed to have many friends who love me, to have children who love me, a splendiferous puppy who loves me & many opportunities to feel & express love back to them all!

I send out a bit of extra love to all out there who need to affirm themselves today, since they might not get the outward symbols (flowers & nuzzles) that remind them of how valuable, extraordinary, & unique they (we) all are!!

I took a little time today to send some special love messages to friends in my life who I know aren't coupled. We all need affirmation, & when we're changing or struggling, we need it even more.

Spread around a little extra love today! Give a little extra to yourself! Maybe even spare a speck for someone who isn't very easy to love at all!!
