Introducing myself
Hello. I started drinking in 1981 and stopped on the 15th November 2016, mainly because of concerns for my physical and mental health. Not daily initially of course, but daily for the last 15+ years. This is my first time here and I'm unsure what to write or where to post. Thanks for any advice.

this website gave me 22 days sober, longest ever stretch apart from when I was pregnant. I did mess it up, but that's because of me being unprepared. But without SR I wouldn't have ever have had those 22. This time I am more prepared and hoping SRcan get me done with the booze once and for all. I wish you well on your journey and its amazing how useful this site is as a tool!

Welcome, and posting in the Newcomers Forum as you did, is a good place to start. Alcoholism is a progressive disease and most of us find things get worse until we stop. I'm glad you found us, and I know you will find lots of support here.
