Today marks 18 months sober.
June 16, 2015 was the day of my last drink, but the 17th I deem as my first full day sober.
I could type a long post about what that has meant but i'll keep it short.
These months have shown me that I don't need to drink to live life. If anything I wasn't living it fully when I was drinking.
Sometimes I can't believe that fate had it for me to have a better way of living. I've been grateful every day, good or bad, that I have been sober. This program and all of its aspects have saved my life. These months mean a lot and as time goes on I hope to help more and more people that are struggling with alcoholism.
I'll be 32 on the 27th, but for the purpose of living a life that is better than the one that was leading me to death, June 16, 2015 is right up there in importance.
Take care everyone and thank you for all of your help and for supporting others.

Congratulation for many one days sober
to get you to where you are today. 18mos.
I'll never forget my 18th mos. sobriety.
I went to a speaker meeting that night
and when they asked if anyone was
celebrating a sobriety birthday or
milestone, I raised my hand and walked
to the front of the room to accept my
18 month coin key ring. It would be the
only chip that came on a ring and I had
to have it. All my other chips are traditional
bronze colored, with the exception of those
first few that were blue, red, green.
Good stuff..!!!!
