8 days on suboxone and feeling better

I'm on my 8th day on suboxone and I almost feel like my old self. It's so nice not to wake up in withdrawals, not to be counting pills and wondering if I have enough to make it through my obligations for the day. I know not everyone agrees with suboxone, but it has been very helpful for me so far. I'm so glad that I finally came clean to my family and asked for help! I'm so thankful to everyone posting on here, it gave me courage!

Crystal - glad to hear that you are starting to feel better. Don't let other people get you down about being on subs. I know plenty of people in the rooms that are on subs and doing well.

Suboxone is a maintenance drug for opiate addiction. A doctor can prescribe it out of their office, which it much more convenient than having to go to a methadone clinic everyday.

Thank you all for your comments! I know alot of people don't like subs, but for me it's worked wonders so far. I tried so many times to quit on my own and couldn't do it.

Proud of you. I can't wait to feel like myself again. I went on a wine bender so I am back to Day 1. So sick of being sick. The cravings have subsided. I really don't like the taste of wine but, my addiction doesn't care.
