I look for a good reason everyday not to have alcohol in my life. Today's reason was going to see my sister in prison. She's been in for 6 months and this was the first time t going to see her. She's been incarcerated several times in her life and I've always gone to see her. But she's never been in a big girl prison. And we talked for about 2 hours. And she told me that she wouldn't have done things that she did it if it wasn't for being under the influence of alcohol. Alcohol is also her gateway to Other Drugs. It only starts with alcohol. That was inspiration enough for me to not drink today and to help set an example for her as well since I'm her big sister. She has 16 months to go.

The main reason I won't drink today is that it doesn't occur to me to do so. Why would I ?
