Has anyone else stopped drinking an become addicted to chocolate.... Never been a sweet's person, usually turn them Down.. But lately I can't go a day without Reese's cups. And also would not eat peanut butter because it looked like poop to me but while in rehab ppj took a hold of me 68 days and counting...

Ice cream is my jam! Still, at nine months this week. I was not a big sweet person either- and during the last of my drinking, not much of a food person at all- and I am possibly an extreme case of sweet foods replacing alcohol's sugar.
I eat healthily as a whole but I enjoy something sweet pretty much every day. I have an active job and I have started running again, and I focus on being healthy not being the 5-7lbs smaller I could probably be.
Keep going!

When drinking.. I was never was much for candy or chocolate ...
But now..I have been digging sweets more ...
Plus ... Peanut butter goes good on almost anything!
Why did you have to remind me!! (As I head down to the vending machines).

The experiences on this thread are commonplace in early recovery jeffrey - i had cravings for sweet things like chocolate, ice cream and cake. Fortunately it wears off after a while
Congratulations on 68 days
